the illusion of a dream

 

Since 1843, our family has made wine for our own consumption at the Cal Pau Palomas farmhouse, in Òdena, 

in the Anoia region, Barcelona. With great effort we decided to recover the vineyards and prepare the farmhouse 

to make a small winery, Bodegas Puiggròs.

A project born with the dream of producing unique wines of native varieties recovering vineyards forgotten in time.

 

The philosophy of the winery is based on the terroir, maintaining and recovering catalan varietals 

and native vineyards. Our dream is to produce high quality wines that reflect the expression of our land and where 

our passion and feelings towards wine are reflected.

 

A project that is possible thanks to the daily effort of many people, as well as the dreams, the illusions 

and the vision of the Puiggròs family.

The vegetative cycle is long and the maturation is delicate, prolonged and complex.

 

Bodegas Puiggròs cultivates the varieties of Sumoll, Garnacha Negra and Garnacha Blanca.

STAINLESS STEEL TANKS

All our stainless steel tanks capacity between 1,400 and 3,000 lit. They have temperature control, cooling system and heating.

Cherry red color with brilliant tones.

NOSE

Expressive. Intense raspberry with aroma of forest fruits with notes of spices and toffee.

PALATE

Elegant and harmonious between color aroma and taste. Very good adicity.

Clayey-calcareous terrain.

Production

Winemaking

Fermentation and aging of 4 months in ANPHORAS of 800 liters and in cement

tanks on its own lees.

Organic wine not filtered.

Aging

Minimum of 9 months in AMPHORA,

cement and bottle.

 

Tasting Notes

Colour pale yellow tones.

In nose good aromatic power, which highlights the

memories of fleshy fruits such as peach and pineapple on a background of sweet flowers and fresh and Mediterranean aromatic herbs. In a second stage the notes of toasted nuts, tiger nuts and bee wax appear. In palate it presents a sweet and warm entry with a long, unctuous mouth and with a slightly bitter finish. Balanced and persistent.

Light yellow lemon.

NOSE

Expressive, Memories of White flowers (Jasmine), fresh flowers and tropical fruits. 

PALATE

Elegant and tasty with long and pleasant finish. Very good adicity. Unctuosus and persintent.

Ruby red color with brilliant tones.

NOSE

Intense reminders of cacao and coffee whit aromas of black fruits.

Elegant and finest wine with very integrated tannins. Persistent finish with floral aftertaste.
