Estévez Bodegas y Viñedos
RETURN TO THE ORIGINS
The Estévez family, originally from Valtuille de Abajo and settled in Mexico, dream of a project born of the return of a family to their homeland to take care of their inheritance. A centuries-old heritage that comes from the first vineyards that his
great-grandfather Ramón bought with the money he earned in Brazil.
Helios Estévez, businessman and poet who before emigrating to Mexico to meet his father, exiled during the Civil War, toured, could, harvested and even grafted much of the vineyard that today makes up the winery, promising to return to return to El Bierzo everything that this earth has given him.
This attachment and love for the land, Helios has transmitted it to each of his four children, who accompany him in this exciting adventure.
Versos of Valtuille is already the result of a challenge, a family dream and a debt to a fantastic land.

The alcoholic fermentation is carried out in a controlled manner, lasting around 7 - 10 days. After it, the wine remains with its skins until the discovery of the deposit and the transfer of the wine is decided by tasting.
Tasting Notes
Its deep red color with violet tones denotes its youth. Elegant and fresh on the nose, in which the intense aromas of ripe red fruit and wild fruits, characteristic of El Bierzo, predominate. It has a pleasant, unctuous entry in the mouth, with a soft and structured tannin that leads to a warm and persistent finish.

Winemaking
After a careful selection of grapes on a table, it is conducted to stainless steel tanks where it performs a pre-fermentative maceration at low temperature for 5 days. Later a controlled alcoholic fermentation takes place between 18-21ºC during 7-10 days. After this, post-fermentation maceration is carried out for about 10 days, with the subsequent discovery. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine is introduced in French oak barrels of 228 liters for aging for a period of approximately 4 months. After this aging, the wine that is bottled in the bottle is bottled for a minimum period of two months.
Tasting Notes
With an intense cherry red color and violet reflections. Clean, bright. With good intensity on the nose, where aromas of ripe red fruits combined with mineral touches and black licorice emerge, as well as the presence of smoked and balsamic notes. The palate is structured and unctuous, with pleasant oak leaves. Fresh, balanced and with good persistence.
